Gingerbread
Ingredients
- 425g Self-Raising Flour
- 250g Plain Flour
- 15g Ground Ginger
- 5g Ground Cinnamon
- 5g Ground Mix Spice
- 185g Butter
- 185g Brown Sugar
- 25g Pure Icing sugar
- 170g Golden Syrup
- 2 Eggs (55g each)
Method
- Preheat oven to 160°C
- Combine flours, spices and sugars in a bowl, then add soften butter and mix until it resembles breadcrumbs
- Combine the golden syrup and eggs in a bowl then add to the dry mixture
- Roll the dough till it is 5mm thick and bake for 11 minutes for cookies or 13-15 minutes for gingerbread house.
Royal Icing
- 100g Egg White
- 500g Pure Icing Sugar
- 2g Citric Acid
