Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- 100g butter
- 90g chocolate (45%)
- 50g espresso
- 17.5g cocoa powder
- 130g milk
- 70g caster sugar
- 70g brown sugar
- 150g self-raising flour
- 1 egg
Method
- Preheat oven to 140°C
- Melt butter and chocolate together
- Whisk cocoa powder into espresso then add milk
- Combine butter and espresso mixtures together
- Add eggs
- Add flour and sugar
- Divide into 3 6in cake pans (250g in each pan) and cook for 32 minutes or 160°C for 20 minutes
Ganache (enough for 3 layer 6 in cake)
- 300g milk chocolate (55%)
- 100g dark chocolate
- 270g cream
- 30g glucose syrup
